Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. The parents of Matthew Matt James are Manny James, and Patty James. He is a Nigerian mother as well as an American caucasian father. He graduated in the year 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with the Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James gained fame as he made his television debut as an on-screen reality star in The Bachelorette. James was selected to play the role of the new bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, making him the first African American male star. The show premiered later in the year. James was the ideal candidate for the job as the man is beautiful, tall and round and funny. He also has a great sense of comedy. The series ended when he chose Rachael Krkconnell as his choice to begin an affair with her. In 2021 he partnered with the famous dancer Arnold to take part in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold finished 12th.
